Vikings Boat was founded with a clear mission: to engineer durable, innovative, and economically accessible FRP products that meet the purchasing power of customers across all strata in Bangladesh and beyond. As waterways, coastal communities, and modern institutions increasingly depend on reliable composite structures, Vikings Boat aims to redefine quality and set a new national benchmark for FRP manufacturing.
The inspiration for this initiative came from a team of Naval Architects from BUET who recognized two converging realities. First, the demand for FRP vessels in Bangladesh is growing rapidly. Second, a recent BUET research investigation revealed that local FRP boat manufacturing practices often fall significantly below global standards, resulting in structural weaknesses, improper curing, non-standard layup processes, inadequate reinforcement, and the absence of essential bulkheads and stiffeners in many vessels.
These irregularities pose serious risks to vessel integrity, user safety, and long-term durability. Motivated by these findings and driven by a desire to create meaningful employment opportunities for Naval Architecture graduates, the founders established Vikings Boat to bring disciplined engineering and global standard practices to Bangladesh's composite sector. Today, we specialize in delivering certified, precision-molded craft engineered for a 20-to-30-year lifespan under active commercial use.
Vikings Boat is a venture of TMS (Tech Marine Solutions Ltd.), benefiting from TMS's global quality standards and project-handling experience.
TMS is involved in global heavy marine transportation projects, while its expert Naval Architects work on global marine engineering projects. TMS also has business relationships with South Korean marine companies. The founders of Vikings Boat are Naval Architects from BUET, with direct experience in designing, building, repairing and manufacturing similar boats in Australia, Qatar and Africa. Headquartered in Dhaka, Vikings Boat operates production facilities tailored for B2B and B2G supply.
This combined expertise supports Vikings Boat's engineering-led approach to FRP vessel design, controlled production, quality-focused manufacturing, application-specific design, and appropriate laminate and reinforcement practices for commercial, recreational, passenger, fishing and specialized marine applications.
